Mrs. Imalene Pardon, 64, of Rison, born January 20, 1939, in McGehee, died Thursday, June 26, 2003, at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. A resident of Rison for the past 14 years, for many years she was a resident of Wilmot and worked at the garment factory in Lake Village and the glove factory in Dermott. She was a member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church and an inactive member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, James S. Pardon; a son, James Danny Pardon; a daughter, Stephanie Temple; her mother, Pansy Kitchell, all of Rison; five brothers, Charlie D. and Louie Bass of Pine Bluff, Grover Bass of Hope, Jerry Bass of Pine Bluff and Eddie Bass of Bossier City, LA; two sisters, Dora Mae Padgett of Grapevine and Anita Chandler of Rison; six grandchildren, Jamie Pardon, Rachel McGehee, Candy, Brandy and Amber Pardon and Brittney and Kellie Ferguson; and one great-grandchild, Mackenzie Bell. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Pardon, in 1989; her father, Charlie Bass; and a sister.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, June 30, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bill Davidson officiating. Pallbearers were Danny Anderson, Roger Harrison, Chad Herman, Gary Pardon, Earl McCrory and Billy White. Burial followed services at the Snyder Cemetery.
