Dorothy Lorene O’Gorman, 83, of Stinnett, died Saturday, September 10, 2016, in Borger. Services will be held Wednesday, September 14, at 10:00 am in First Baptist Church-Stinnett with Pastor Kade Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors.
Dorothy, known as Memaw to 78 children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and their spouses, was born June 13, 1933, near Soper, Oklahoma, the eighth of nine children born to Harry and Mittie (Routon) Grace.
She came to Stinnett in 1952, where she met Richard Paul (Dick) O’Gorman. They were married June 6, 1953, in Borger, celebrating 63 years and 3 months of marriage. To this union came eight children, 25 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Vicki O’Gorman; three grandchildren, Joseph Yohn, Kyle Dobbs, and Nikki Contreras; and one great-grandchild, Daylen O’Gorman.
Survivors include her husband, Dick, of the home; five sons, James O’Gorman and wife, Pamela, of Canyon, Eugene O’Gorman and wife, Nancy, of Amarillo, Richard O’Gorman, John O’Gorman and wife, Kristi, and Pat O’Gorman and wife, Wendy, all of Stinnett; three daughters, Beverly Gibson and husband, Kirk, of Pattonville, Texas, and Mary Barton and husband, Brad, and Margaret Contreras, of Stinnett; one brother, Floyd Grace and wife, Margie, of Hugo, Oklahoma; 35 grandchildren and spouses, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.
