Barbara Davis Heslep, 67, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, August 10, 2006, at Kindred Hospital, Greensboro, N.C. She was born in Blacksburg, Va. on October 28, 1938 to the late Paul David and Mae Elizabeth Barnett Davis. She is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Walton, of Huntsville, Ala.; brothers, William Curtis Davis, of Blacksburg, Va., Paul David Davis, Jr., of Christiansburg, Va.; the father of her four children, Alfred Lee Franklin Heslep of Christiansburg, Va.; children, Barry Franklin Heslep of Christiansburg, Va., Stephanie Faith Davis of Seattle, Wash., Alfred Christopher Heslep of Floyd, Va., Timothy Lee Heslep of Christiansburg, Va.; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church, on Giles Road with the Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
