Jesse Adcox was the man that raised my grandfather, James Franklin Adcox. But he was NOT his biological father. He is the only father James ever knew, but for genealogical purposes, we want to be sure to acknowledge this fact so people who may use information from Find A Grave for Ancestry please be sure to make note of this and/or make sure your information is recorded correctly.

He married my great grandmother, Elizabeth Jane Johnson in January of 1900 when she was already expecting a child ( my grandfather) that was not biologically his. My grandfather, James was raised as Jesse's son.

Elizabeth ( Liza Jane) and Jesse went on to have many more children who are my family today. :)

This photo is Jesse with my mother and her sisters. He acted as a grandpa to them. My mother (Alice) is the little one on the right side of the photo on the tricycle.
