Dennis Eugene Jacobsen was born November 13, 1953 in Mitchell to Harvey and Lucille (McGraw) Jacobsen. He grew up on the family farm near Letcher and graduated from Letcher High School in 1972. Following high school he attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg, IA. On November 27, 1992 he married Debra Feterl in Mitchell. He owned and operated Jake’s Lounge in Letcher for thirty-eight years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John and father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Lorraine Feterl.
