Jerry Milton Ford passed away suddenly on September 20, 2015 in Bryan, Texas. He was 77 years and 11 months. Jerry was born on October 20th, 1937 in Clareville, Texas. He was born to Alvin Jesse Ford and Enola Uhlig Ford. He was the fourth of five children. He graduated from Beeville High School in 1956. Afterwards he attended Abilene Christian College on a football scholarship. In 1962 he served his country in the United Sates Army with the Military Police and in 1967 he was honorably discharged.

On May 13, 1960, Jerry was united in marriage to Dolores Loesch in Corpus Christi, Texas. They made their home in Beeville for 10 years, and later moved to Bellville to be closer to family. He retired in 1992 after 28 years of employment with Pan Handle Gas Company. Jerry was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. He resided on a small farm in Buckhorn that was one of his greatest joys. He raised cattle and was a great gardener. Jerry enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing in his spare time, but his favorite hobby of all was spending time with his grandchildren.

Jerry leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Dolores Ford; his stepsons, Terry O. Wiktorik, and wife Wanda, Gary W. Wiktorik and wife, Ceal; and stepdaughter, Patsy Louis Ford; his grandchildren, Wendy & Shawn Jackson, Terry Clay Wiktorik & fiancé, Crystal Busby, Heath & Melanie Wiktorik, Lt. Col. Shane & Heather Louis, Kevin & Shanna Louis, and Kimberly & Jason Pampell; his great-grandchildren, Peyton & Jake Price, Tylin & Sloan Jackson, Gage Wiktorik, Kerrah Wehlmann & Camryn Mackay, Lexaley & Ashley Wiktorik, Trevor, Morgan, & Madison Louis, Austin & Kolby Louis, and Shelby Pampell; his sisters, Darlene McNeil, Pauline & husband, Ray Caldwell; brother, James A. Ford; sisters-in-law, Gladys Ueckert, Reva Loesch, and Ruby Loesch; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Jesse Ford & Enola Thompson; sibling, Aline Werlla; grandson, Erik Wiktorik; great-grandson, Beau Wiktorik; brothers-in-law, Ed McNeil, Jesse Werlla, Thomas Rayburn, Henry Ueckert, Delton Loesch, and JD Loesch; and sister-in- law, Adele Rayburn.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Knesek's Funeral Chapel in Bellville. Service was held at St. John Lutheran Church September 23rd, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception at St. John Faith Center for all family & friends. Graveside and interment services were held at Oak Knoll Cemetery. Pallbearers are Heath Wiktorik, Terry Clay Wiktorik, Kevin Louis, Randy Ueckert, Troy Schroeder, and Steve Pitchford. Honorary pallbearers are Lt. Col. Shane Louis, Shawn Jackson, and Jason Pampell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John Lutheran Church of Bellville.
