James “Cap” Allie Ford, 79, of Swinney Switch, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015.

Mr. Ford was born Jan. 21, 1936, in Beeville to Ella Enola Uhlig Thompson and Alvin Jessie Ford. He was a gauger in the oil and gas field and enjoyed fishing, hunting and knife carving. He was a Lutheran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Aline Werlla; and a brother, Jerry Ford.

Survivors include two sisters, Darlene McNeill and Pauline (Ray) Caldwell; a daughter, Kathy (Okie) Howk; grandchildren, Suzanne and Wade; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
