Funeral services for Harrison Shaw Beard were held from the Church of God here on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. H. M. McDonough. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Cummins sang. Mrs. Frank Gould was accompanist.

The pall bearere were Van D. Fisher, Carl Raber, Herman Raber, Glenn N. Couch, Fred Ankerbrandt, Melvin Cowling.

Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery.

OHIO NATIVE TAKEN BY DEATH; Funeral Services to be Held Wednesday from Church of God.
Harrison Shaw Beard, 727 West Sixth Street, native of Marysville, Union county, Ohio, where he was born April 24, 1864, son of John and Amanda Shaw Beard, died at his home last night at 9:30 o'clock, after an illness of several months. He was aged 75 years, 9 months and 5 days.
Since infancy he had been a resident of this state. He was married to Bertha Couch, at Hadley, Ill., October 28, 1885. She preceded him in death. Surviving children are Omer A. Beard, Peoria, Ill., Otis L. Beard, Mount Carmel, Lulu Raber, Browns, Raymond Beard, Mount Carmel.
There are also six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, and three brothers, L. N. Beard, Lawrenceville, J. H. Beard, Detroit, E. R. Beard, Detroit.
He was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services will be held from that church on Wednesday, January 31, at 2 p.m., in charge of Rev. H. M. McDonough, and burial will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Beard was for 28 years engaged in business here as a merchant.
