A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Westbrook was the wife of the late King William "Jim" Westbrook and the daughter of the late Ezekiel D. Garrison and the late Hattie Blalock Garrison. Educated at Williams High School and Burlington Business College, she retired from the Alamance County School System after 17 years as secretary at Pleasant Grove School.
As a member of Union Ridge Church, Mrs. Westbrook served in a number of church offices including Secretary of the Official Board and Chairman of the Finance Committee. She was a member of the Women's Fellowship, Golden Age Club, Hustlers Class, and the Laura Ward Circle where she received a Life Membership Certificate. Volunteer work included Meals on Wheels.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Westbrook was preceded in death by two sisters, Jessie Mae Cole and Pearl M. Ray and two brothers, Dan Y. Garrison and Charles A. Garrison.
