Susie was a very kindly person with much love for her family and friends. Anyone who said a kind word or did a friendly favor for Susie, was always remembered with deep gratitude. Her skills as a weaver of rugs will be a monumental tribute implanted in many homes to long reflect her loving efforts to make more people happy.
Her beloved husband Alva, preceeded her in death June 25, 1948. She was a member of the Liberty Hill U.B. Church.
Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Bessie Thomas, Dieterich, Il., Mrs. Virgie Easton, Greenup, Il., Mrs. Veva Samulowitz, Lansing, Il., Me. Lottie Blair and Mrs. Lola Taylor, both of Tolono, Il., Mrs. Jessie Fletcher, Champaign, Il., and one son Herbert Eveland also of Champaign, Il., one sister Mrs. Minnie Bell Eveland of Hayti, Mo; many grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Hiles Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon with burial in the Liberty Hill Cemetery.
Rev. Lester Hondrich officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sperry were the soloists were accompanied by Mrs. Robert Green at the organ.
