Laura Ellamay Burt was born on March 24, 1920, at Tower City, N.D. She came to Sauk Centre with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Burt in the mid 1920s. She was the oldest child and only daughter in the family. She completed her third year in high school, and would have been a member of the Senior Class during the next school year. She was survived by her parents and three brothers, Stanley, Lyle, and Marvin.
Ellamay, as she is known to her friends, enjoyed sports, hiking and camping. The last sad rites were held at the Methodist Church in this city at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Interment was made in Greenwood cemetery.
