KNOX -- Services for Clark Joe Allen, 59, of 412 S. East St., who died at 4 a.m. Monday in Starke Memorial Hospital following a short illness, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel. Robert Horton of Knox will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends are calling today at the Chapel, where there will be Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
He was born Sept. 23, 1922, in Salyersville, Ky., and had been a Knox resident for 54 years. He was married May 5, 1947, in Macon, Ga., to Anna Preston, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Sharon Allen at home, Mrs. Jo Brown of Knox, Mrs. Cindy Bailey of LaCrosse; three sisters, Mrs. Luella Watson of Ritman, Ohio, Mrs. Bonnie Lantz of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Flossie Salyers of Silver Lake; four brothers, Walter and Hargis, both of Knox, Linden of Fort Wayne, and Dudley of Alger, Ohio. He was a retired railroad employee and accountant. He was a 25-year member of the Knox Masonic Lodge.
