The funeral of Hunt Caywood were conducted Wednesday at the St. Mark AME church. Bro. Hunt died Sunday night at his home on Elm Street. Rev. O. T. Williams conducted the services.
Mr. Caywood was born in Mississippi County and spent all of his life in and around Osceola. He attended school in Osceola. He was a member of the Anderson Chapel Baptist Church of Grider. Rev. Taylor, pastor, he died Sunday, Nov 18. He leave his wife, Mrs. Cora Caywood; three daughters, Miss Elsie Caywood, Miss Aldredge Caywood and Mrs. Virgie Lee Freeman, all of Osceola; one son, J. W. Caywood of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Owens and Mrs. Virgie Lee Washington of Osceola; Mrs. Pearl Garner of Toledo, Ohio; one uncle, Mal Rutherford, Driver; one aunt, Mrs. Annie Clark, Osceola; seven grandchildren and a fine son-in-law, Clance Freeman, other relatives.
Active pallbearers, Nick Thomas, Sam Peeks, Perry Thomas, Henry Vann, Will Moss and Willie Boose.
Interment Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Barabin Funeral Home in charge.
