Mrs. James Entwistle, 87, of DeKalb, former well known respected resident of Lovell's Crossing vicinity for many years, passed away early Thursday morning at the Glidden Memorial hospital, DeKalb following a brief illness of only six days. She was a sister of Mrs. Alberta Kincade of Sycamore.

Hattie Thompson was born in Letart, West Virginia on December 8, 1883, the daughter of Volney and Mary Gibbs Thompson. She spent her girlhood days at Letart, attending the schools there, and on February 17, 1904, was married to James Entwistle. The couple came immediately to his farm at Lovell's Crossing, where they farmed for 30 years, moving to DeKalb five years ago.

Surviving are the husband and three sons, Ralph H. and James of DeKalb, and Clarence R. of Maple Park, also four grandchildren, four sisters: Mrs. Alberta Kincave, Sycamore; Mrs. Walter Lieving, Genoa; Mrs. Frank Van Meter, Wooster, Ohio; Mrs. Clyde Nerman, Vinton, Ohio, and four brothers Erman Thompson, Swea City, Iowa; Melvin, West Salem, Ohio; Bart and Harry of Letart, West Virginia.

Funeral services are to be accorded Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Kebil-Coultrip Funeral Home, with the Rev. M. W. Johnson of the Sycamore First Baptist church in charge. Burial will be in the Elmwood cemetery.
