They had 11 children. My great Grandmother Melvina Timothine, Mary Marissa, William Berton, Lorenzo Hiram, Perry Carnell, Sarah Pearl, Twins-Abanathy B. & Ebenezer, James Washington, Alaman Albain and Ivy Benton.

According to the 1850 Census of Scott County, Arkansas her father was William B. Carr, who I have several Ancestry DNA matches to, and mother's first name was either Eartie, Easter or Esther?

My 2 times great grandparents John Alexander Ashford and Sarah Elizabeth Carr, through my great grandmother Melvina Timothine Ashford proven through dozens of Ancestry DNA matches.
