IN MEMORY OF D.A. COOLIDGE OF GREENFIELD

D.A. Coolidge was born April 15, 1843 in Venango township, and died Feb. 16,
1919, having spent his entire life within a short distance of where he passed
peacefully away on Sunday morning.

His parents, Porter and Polly Jones Coolidge were pioneer settlers in that part
of the county. He was the youngest son and the last survivor of a family of
five sons and two daughters.

D.A. Coolidge married Marial Emery, of Venango, in 1889. To this union was born
two children, a son and a daughter. Mark, on the old home farm, and Mary at
home, who with the wife is left to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father,
and to these who feel the affliction of his loss most keenly and are bowed down
with grief the sympathy of many friends goes out, a sympathy the more deep and
sincere with those who knew him well, for he was a a man who won friends and the
confidence of his fellow men, for he was upright and honest with his dealings
among this fellow men.

Mr. Coolidge was a great sufferer for months, having had stomach trouble, and
longed to be at rest. He was a Mason and a P. of H., having joined the first
grange organized in Greenfield.

His funeral was held from his late home and the M.E. church at Lowville on
Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Springer of Wattsburg, and attended by a large number
of sympathizing relatives and friends, and his body laid to rest in the beautiful
cemetery at Lowville.

From a newspaper article, Lorraine Henderson Boomershine's (#47354762) grandfather, Clyde Henderson kept.
