Thomas Henry Barber was born on April 18, 1901 in Chester County, South Carolina; to William Alexander Barber & Rachel Elizabeth Hemphill-Barber. He married the love of his life, Flonnie, some time in the late 1920's. To this union 11 children were born. He spent many years working as a sharecropper. Some of his children joined him in this work, when they were old enough. He retired that line of work, and began working at the Rock Printing & Finishing Company (Bleachery) until retirement.

On December 02, 1957 his wife fell asleep in death (John 11:11) Flonnie was 53 years old. Thomas was now a single father, and kept the family together. He would lose his daughter Lois at the age off 30, in 1965. And he himself would fall to the enemy death on July 29, 1986. (1 Corinthians 15:24-26). I look forward to seeing all my family members whom I've lost in the resurrection on the "last day." (John 5:28, 29).
