Mrs. Melissa Maude Milhorn, 79, Route 1, Telford, died Tuesday [11 FEB 1975] morning at Johnson City Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was the daughter of the late Perry and Betty Hensley Anderson, and was a former resident of Hawkins County. She had lived in Washington County for the past 50 years.

Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Marie Holder of Jonesboro, Mrs. Ana Lee of Crowell, Alabama, Mrs. Doris Robertson of Hartselle, Alabama, and Mrs. Ella Tipton of Telford; five sons: Roosevelt Lowe of Gray, Bill and Jim Martin of Kingsport, Harold Milhorn of Fort Collins, Colorado, and William Milhorn of Jonesboro; two step-daughters: Mrs. Hattie Jordon and Mrs. Bessie Bowman, both of Johnson City; a half-sister, Mrs. Bessie Byrd of Telford; one brother, Garnie Anderson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two half-brothers: George and Jack Anderson of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

Dillow-Taylor is in charge.

Funeral services for Mrs. Melissa Maude Milhorn, age 79, of Route 1, Telford, who died Tuesday [11 FEB 1975] at 4 a.m., will be held Friday [14 FEB 1975] at 2 p.m. from the Morning Star Independent Baptist Church with Rev. William (Buster) Elton and Rev. Mack Houston officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers and flower bearers will be selected from friends attending the services.

The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday [13 FEB 1975] and removed to the church at the time of service.

Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home, Jonesboro, is in charge of the arrangements.
