Obituary for Mrs. Marion E. Van Gorder
Marion E. Van Gorder, 92, a lifelong Cortland resident passed away on January 31, 2021 in Florida where she had been living with her daughter. Born January 9, 1929 in Cortland, Marion was the daughter of Joseph and Florence Palladino Consroe.

Marion was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. She had retired from S.U.N.Y. Cortland where she was employed as the department secretary in the Economics Department. Marion enjoyed golfing, loved to travel and swimming at the YWCA.

She is survived by her two daughters ......, her four sons ......., 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; Marion was preceded in death by her husband; Richard L. Van Gorder, Jr. in 1976, by a brother; Charles Consroe and a sister; Kate Consroe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. Prayers of committal will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 7-8 p.m. in the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home 69 N. Main St. Cortland, N.Y. Contributions in Marion's memory may be made to Catholic Charities of Cortland 33 Central Ave. Cortland, N.Y. 13045
