Funeral services for Acy David Trapp, retired Marion farmer, were held Monday in Grace United Methodist Church at Marion and interment was there in Lakeview Cemetery.
Mr. Trapp died Wednesday, May 4, 1977 at Mercy Hospital in Valley City after having been in failing health the past year.
Born May 15, 1896, at Milbank, S.D., Mr. Trapp was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dilman C. Trapp. In 1903 he moved to Sheridan Township, near Marion, N.D., with his parents who settled on a farm in that community. he completed his elementary education in township school, attended Marion High School and farmed for a time with his parents. He marriage to Esther Matzke took place December 21, 1916, at Marion and they farmed in that area until 1969 when they retired and moved into Marion.
Mr. Trapp was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, having served for several years as trustee and also treasurer on the church board. He served for many years on the Sheridan Township and school boards.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Wallace Youngman (Elaine), Dickey; and Mrs. Vernon Krenz (LaFaye), Litchville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Cora Draheim, Marion. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
