Kenneth Iske - Newburg - Funeral services for Kenneth Iske, 62, of Newburg, will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinned. Burial will be in the Hazel wood Cem. Iske died in his home Sunday of cancer. There will be military honors during the graveside rites by the Gilman American Legion Post.

Mr. Iske farmed in the Newburg area. He was the son of "David & Leota Hitchler Iske. Born July 4, 1923, he married Maxine Eslmer Nov. 22, 1945. During World War II he served in the army in Europe.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; three daughters, Diane of Emmettsburg, Mrs. Linda Simpson of Gilman & Deborah of Glenwood; brother & sister, Mrs. Thedora Shaver of Newton & Jack Iske of West Liberty; three half sisters, Mrs. Edna Williams of Marshalltown, Mrs. Irene Huffacker of Newton & Mrs. Genieve McIlrath of Grinnell; four half brothers, Ted of Idaho & Harold, Carroll & Charlie of CA; & five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters & a half brother, Frank.
