Dorothy McGee Newport, age 70, of Russellville, died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dardanelle. A daughter of Chester Odis and Addieline Carrie Burris McGee, she was born July 17, 1945 in Lepanto, Arkansas. She was a member of the Russellville Church of God, was a florist for Price Chopper, now Harps, and enjoyed dancing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be private in St. Joe Cemetery north of Atkins. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service.
