Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. MST Friday at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.
Marilyn was born July 8, 1946, at Hazen, a daughter of Reinhold and Philipena (Pfeifer) Wiedrich. She was raised and educated north of Hazen. On Oct. 25, 1963, she married Hubert E. Sailer at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen. They lived in Hazen until 1981, when they moved to Stanton. They owned and operated Stanton Exxon for a number of years. In 1982, they began their catering and fleischkuechle business known as "Granny's Deli"; which they operated until 1996.
She loved decorating her house and yard for holidays, especially Christmas. She collected Old World Santas, Kerosene lamps and angels. Marilyn made baby quilts for each of her grandchildren, and enjoyed reading, oil painting and growing flowers. Marilyn had a great sense of humor, which she kept to the end. Their door was always open and the coffee pot was always on, and their house was filled with family and friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
