Harold Griffin Shepard was born January 14, 1908 in Richmond, Utah. He died August 29, 1991 in Salt Lake City. He was the son of James Isaac Shepard and Hortense Griffin Shepard. He married Edith Salzner October 11, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a life member of the Cottonwood/Murray Elks Lodge 2344. Member of the LDS Church. He worked as a manufacturer's representative in the recreational vehicle industry. he was a co-founder and sales manager of Hydro Flame. He retired in 1985. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survived by wife and three children, Donald S. Shepard and his wife Karen H.; D. Kent Shepard and his wife Karen F.; Annette S. Carroll and her husband William, all of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Naomi Manwaring of Turlock, Calif.; Winifred O'Neill of Salt Lake City; and Guy Shepard of Tooele. Preceded in death by his parents, ten brothers, and eight sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4, 1991 at 12:00 noon, in the Russon Brothers Mortuary Chapel, 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
