Mrs. Eidth M. Houseman, 87, of 511 W. Park St., Morrison, died today in Morrison Community Hospital.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Morrison, preceded by a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service in the church chapel. The Rev. Robert Backhus will officiate. Burial wil be in Grove Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Renkes-Reynolds Funeral Home, Morrison.

Mrs. Houseman was born May 27, 1895, in Sterling, to Harry and Pearl Manning Newell. She married Fred Houseman Feb. 2, 1916, in Sterling. He died Nov. 7, 1981. The couple lived in Mt. Pleasant Township until retiring to Morrison in 1949. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Home Extension and Round Grove Thimble Club.

Survivors include three sons, Arthur, Dean and Donald, all of Morrison; 13 grandchildren; 20 Great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Mrs. Leona Salmon of Sterling, Mrs. Cora Ebeling, Mrs. Edna Houseman and Mrs. Mildred Dunmore, all of Morrison; and two brothers, Lester Newell of Sterling, and Glenn Newell of Cicero, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, three sisters and two brothers.
