MORRIS J. BECKMEYER
A memorial service was held Jan. 12, 1995, in Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Wash., where he was a member.
Mr. Beckmeyer died of a heart attack Jan. 8 in his Bellevue home at age 69.
He was born May 7, 1925, in Snohomish, Wash. He graduated from the University of Washington and received a master's degree from the University of Portland.
Mr. Beckmeyer was a U.S. Navy veteran and a certified public accountant. He worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Portland for 10 years. After leaving Portland in 1963, he lived and worked in El Salvador, the Dominican Republic and South Africa. He retired from the IRS in 1980 in Washington, D.C., and then worked for Arlington County in Virginia until 1986, when he and his wife returned to Bellevue.
He married Patricia Simpson May 7, 1948.
In addition to his wife, survivors are his sons, James of Kirkland, Wash., John of Park City, Utah, Robert of Fairfax, Va., and Roger of Salt Lake City; brother, Ted of Snohomish; sisters, Mary Ann Hendrickson of Spokane and Martha Averill of Snohomish; and three grandchildren.
Interment in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Snohomish.
Arrangements: Bauer Funeral Chapel in Snohomish.
