Ms. Amos was born July 10, 1948, to Samuel R. Robinson and the late Olevia Robinson. She completed her high school education at Coleman High School She was known by all for her great laughter.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terrell "Bird" Robinson; and one sister, Sommee Williams.
Survivors include one daughter, Tina Vashone Amos of Greenville; one son, Curtis Amos Jr. of Greenville; five grandchildren, Temoccio Wells, Quonis Clark, Quintarus Amos, Erik Grossley and Derick Grossley, all of Greenville; one aunt, Rashon Adams of Jolliet, Ill.; three brothers, Culley (Catherine) Robinson and Mickey (Kathy) Robinson, both of Detroit, and Jackie (Mary) Robinson of Greenville; six sisters, Ruby (L.C.) Dotson of Vicksburg, Viola Cooks of Belle Glade, Fla., Marvie Bennett of Detroit, and Bobbye Sharkey, Annette Webster and Olevia Bacon, all of Greenville; a special friend, Otha Lee Jones of Greenville; two devoted friends, Mildred King and Shoncharles Collins, both of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Pastor Thomas Morris will officiate.
