Raymond W. Blaase was born on Tuesday, May 3, 1932 on the farm in rural Douglas County (near Garrett and Tuscola), the son of Charles Raymond and Mildred Marie (maiden name Romine) Blaase.
Raymond grew up on the family farm north of Arthur, attending the local country schools. He was a graduate of Arthur High School Class of 1950.
A veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Sarver-Guthrie American Legion Post in Herrick, Raymond was also a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Arthur and a lifelong farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
