Mrs. Alice Miller Burkeen, 64, Indianapolis, passed away on August 11, 2015. Retired April 1, 2015 after 30 years at Indianapolis Power and Light and a member of Phillips Temple CME Church. Survivors; husband, James "J.C." Burkeen; children, Charles Thurman Jr., Erica Thurman, James Burkeen Jr., Andrea Dillard, and Stacey Morgan; sister, Vicky Tipton; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
