My grandfather, Korah Vaughn "Kode" TROUT , was born 24 Aug 1877 in Casey Twp, Clark IL to George Washington TROUT and Roxanna Permit McDANIEL. Kode grew to manhood in Casey Twp, and then moved to Littleton in about 1898 for his health (T.B.) and farmed on South Windermere near the Highline Canal. He later owned ranches in Elizabeth, Hotchkiss, and Carbondale before returning to Littleton in 1935. Kode m. first to Nettie Pearl COOPER who died (T.B.) in Littleton 29 Dec 1910. Kode m. 2nd Nancy Olive ANDERSON in Littleton on 3 Jun 1913.
