MRS. THOMAS HARNER DIES AT AGE OF SIXTY-SIX
Acelia Salina Harner died Sunday night at 8:45 at her home on East Eleventh street in Auburn after an illness of three months from tubercular peritonitis, at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 18 days. She survived Thomas Harner, her husband, by only six months.
Mrs. Harner was born in Allen county near Huntertown July 13, 1856. Her maiden name was Surfus. She was married March 28, 1880, to Thomas Harner near Huntertown and six children were born to this union, three of whom are deceased.
Three children are living, Mrs. Victoria Maurer of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Beatrice Picker of East Eleventh street, Auburn and Chester Harner, residing south of Auburn. Two sisters, Mrs. William Murphy of Fort Wayne; and Mrs. Jospeh Rowley living south of Auburn; and three, brothers, John, Samuel and Andrew Surfus, all of Allen county; and a grandchild, Mary Belle Harner, survive.
Mrs. Harner was a life long member of the M. E. church and also a member of the W. B. A. of the Maccabees.
The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the First M. E. church in Auburn, the Rev. E. E. Trippeer, the pastor officiating. Burial was made in Cedar Chapel cemetery.
