Sylvia Eugenia Daniel, a resident of Stratford, was born April 10, 1912 in Stratford, Oklahoma, to Ollie (Burke) and John Dansby.
She passed away July 24, 2006 at Stratford, Oklahoma, at the age of 94 years, 3 months and 14 days.
She was married to Thomas J. Daniel at Stratford, Okla., on November 26, 1931.
She was a housewife and caregiver. She spent all of her life in the Stratford and Galey areas. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Walter Lee Daniel; three brothers: Alvin, Marvin and J.W. (Dub) Daniel; two sisters: Anice Turner and Opal Kidd; and one grandson, Jeffrey Shelton.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law: James Madison and Song Daniel of Marshall, Texas, John Wiley and Sylvia Daniel of Stratford, Okla., Louis Earl and Gladys Daniel of Lula, Okla., and Joe Paul and Sharon Daniel of Byng, Okla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Patsy Joan and Bobby Shelton of Byng, Okla.; two brothers: Doc Dansby of Sacramento, Calif., and Luther Dansby of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters: Lorene Bundy of Seminole, Okla., and Mary Hottel of Moore, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, July 28, 2006 at 2 p.m. at The Master's House Church of Stratford, Okla., officiated by Rev. Joel Downing.
Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home in Stratford.
