Nellie Pate, 95, of Turlock, was released from her suffering. Nellie was born in Junction City, Kansas to V. Eugene and India Stone.

She was married to Everett Pate Sr. for 53 years before his passing in 1996. Everett was a World War II Army Veteran who had earned a Purple Heart. Nellie was also preceded in death by her daughter Daylene Moore.

She is survived by 5 children: Everett Pate Jr. of Manteca, Edgar (MaryAnn) Pate, Sydney (Bill) Austin, Sandra (Cliff) Easton, and Bobbie (Roy) Baker; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren.
