John N. Walker Dies After Brief Illness
John Newland Walker, brother of Major S.H. Walker, former Superintendent of Police and well known in fraternal circles of the city died yesterday morning at his residence, 418 B Street Northeast, after a brief illness. He was seventy-four years of age. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the family home, with Rev. C. Rochford Stetson, rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Capitol Hill, officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
