Mike Crump, 49, of Rockdale, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015. Funeral services are set for 10:00 am Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Truelson officiating and burial following at I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the funeral home.

Mike was born on October 14, 1965 in Denver City, Texas to Frank and Rose Mary (Skelton) Crump. Mike married Kim Doss on March 20, 1994 in Las Vegas. He was a lifelong resident of Rockdale and a 1984 graduate of Rockdale High School. He was a farmer and cattle rancher. He grew watermelons, wheat and an Oak tree orchard. Mike was an avid hunter, and loved bay fishing, bar-b-quing, playing pool with his children, and spending time with his family. Mike was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Crump.

Mike is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kim Crump of Rockdale; sons, Jacob Crump of Rockdale and Mason Crump of Rockdale; daughter, Kasey Crump of Rockdale; mother, Rose Mary Crump of Rockdale; brothers, Randy Crump of Rockdale, and Lonnie Crump and wife Brenda of Rockdale; sister, Suzanne Crump Hundle and husband Brian of Cameron; father-in-law and mother-in-law; Patricia and James “Chuka” Doss of Rockdale; sister-in-law, Gina Doss of Rockdale; nephew, Keaton Hundle; niece, Kylee Hundle; and his beloved dog, Jenny.

Pallbearers will be Randy Crump, Lonnie Crump, Brian Hundle, Steve Crump, Kevin Jenkins, and Brad Crump.

In lieu of flowers, an Education Fund has been set up for Jacob, Mason and Kasey at Citizens National Bank, P.O. Box 712, Rockdale, Texas 76567.
