Janet was born in Racine Wisconsin and married Thomas Roden Barnes 8 Jan 1880. They farmed in several states finally settling in Colfax, North Dakota in the early 1900's. Janet died at Bethseda Home age 91. She was buried 22 Jan 1955.

BARNES--Mrs. Janet, age 91, 1115 E. 6th St. Survived by daughter Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Klinkhammer, St. Paul; 2 sons, Joseph W., Mpls., Abe L., St. Paul; 7 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren. Services Sat., 1 p. m. at the Albin chapel, Paul Albinson director, 2200 Nicollet Ave., Mpls. Int. Oakhill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel Friday evening.
