She was born Sept. 20, 1922 in Buffalo, N.Y., to Hubert and Estella Fix.
She had lived in Marietta for more than 30 years, prior to moving to Cincinnati in June, 2011. She was a Registered Nurse, who made quilts for Ronald McDonald House, volunteered for literacy, the Special Olympics and was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Churchtown.
Her husband, Norbert Baringhaus, whom she married May 1, 1944, predeceased her. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Baringhaus and her husband, Herb Zimmerman, of Fairfax, Va., Elizabeth Mattingly and her husband, Paul, of Cincinnati and Kathryn Baringhaus and her husband, Mark Dudzinski, of John's Creek, Ga.; and one son, Joseph Baringhaus and his wife, Lidiya, of Columbus, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy with Mass was conducted at St. Bernard of Clairvaux, Cincinnati, Ohio, with Rev. Donald Siciliano as celebrant. A burial service will be held at the church cemetery at St. John's Churchtown at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4.
