Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery in Shreveport, LA. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Jones was born December 27, 1929 in Franklin Parish, LA and passed away July 27, 2015 in Bossier City, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jones, Sr.; parents, Lonnie and Annie Parker; brothers, Lee Parker, Julian Parker, Bill Parker, Ray Parker and Tim Parker.
She is survived by her son Carl Jones, Jr. and wife, Gaye; daughters, Judy Wallette and husband, Bobby, and Shirley Combs and husband, Danny; siblings, Adelle Shivers and spouse, Otis, and John Parker; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Daykota Calhoun, Chris Calhoun, Jason Wallette, Cole Tynan, Carl Jones, III, Gary Bedgood, Curtis Davis and Steve McClure. Honorary pallbearers will be Earnest Norris and Archie Buie.
Her favorite saying was "I'm old; I can get away with it."
