Harvey N. Colburn Sr., 80, of Philshire Hill Road, in the Phoenixville section, died Wednesday in the Valley View Convalescent Hospital, Willimantic. Born In Chaplin, he lived in Phoenixville for 45 years. He was employed by the state Department of Forestry for 25 years, retiring 20 years ago. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hattie Lee Colburn of Willimantic; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Amberg of Florida and Mrs. John Straus of Windham, two sons, Harvey N. Colburn Jr. of Hardwick, Vt. and Russell Colburn of Bridgeport; four brothers, Fred Colburn of Eastford, and Alan Colburn, Edwin Colburn and Kenneth Colburn, all of Rhode Island; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral is Saturday at10 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic. Burial; Grove Cemetery. Calling hours: Today, 7 to 9 p.m.
