Blunk, 72, Paragon, died at 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at Methodist Hospital Yellow Rose Unit in Indianapolis.
Born Feb. 18, 1933, in Hendricks County, was the son of David B. Blunk and Bessie (Phillips) Medsker. He married Nella Lynn (Rieman) Blunk on Dec. 19, 1997. She survives, residing in Paragon.
He retired in 1996 from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis after 28 1/2 years of employment. He attended the Paragon Christian Church.
He was an U. S. Army private first class, enrolled from July 18, 1956-July 17, 1958.
He enjoyed traveling and taking rides through the countryside.
Survivors include sons, Teddy D. Blunk of Martinsville, Anthony D. Blunk of California and Norman Paul Blunk Jr. of Oregon; daughter, Norma M Elliott of Paragon; grandchildren, Alexandria, Shelby, Hannah and Andrew Blunk, Ronnie Elliott Jr. and Janell Colwell and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Blunk and a sister, Merle McDowell.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2005,at Neal & Summers Mortuary in Martinsvill, Rev. Tom Scott will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hall. Military graveside rites will be performed.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the time of service on Friday at the mortuary.
