Funeral services for Davie B. Blunk have been ser for Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Cure & Hensley Chapel. The Rev. G. W. Adams will conduct the service, and burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Hall.
mr Blunk, 72, died at his home at 260 S. Main St., Wednesday morning at 10:30. He had been in failing health for sometime and had been critical for the past three weeks in the Methodist Hospital. he came home from the hospital the day before his death.
Mr Blunk was born Feb 18, 1891, in Adams Township, the son of David C and lennia Kirkham Blunk, and married the former Hazel Wilhite who preceded him in death. His second wife, Lillie Barnes is living.
He was a lifetime resident of Morgan County and had lived in Martinsville for the past seven years. He was a retired building contractor and was a member of the Monrovia Methodist Church.
Surviving him besides his widow are two daughters, Mrs Merle McDowell, Indianapolis; Wanda Wingler, Martinsville; two sons, Ted Blunk, Martinsville, and Norman Blunk, Indianapolis; and Mrs Dora Rowland, Indianapolis. He also leaves seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Calling hours at the Cure & Hensley Funeral Home have been set for after 7 o'clock this evening.
