Mrs. A. A. Hinman of 327 Jackson street died this morning about two o'clock after a prolonged Illness with cancer. She had been ill for about a year and her health failed so rapidly that the end was not unexpected. Several times Mrs. Hinman's condition was very low, but she rallied until Tuesday, when her illness became so critical that all hope of her recovery was given up.


She and her husband, Albert A. Hinman, formerly depot master in the employ of the Chicago & Northwestern railroad, came to Oshkosh in 1856 and they resided here most of the time since.

Deceased was a highly esteemed resident and will be mourned by many friends.


Those who survive her are her husband, two sons, Edward S. Hinman, city comptroller and Jay A.. Hinman and two sisters, Mrs. M. A. Harvey, of Carpenterville, Ill., and Mrs. Joseph Wilson of this city.


The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the residence. Rev. E. H. Smith of the First Congregational church officiating. Mrs, R. F. Kellogg will sing. The pallbearers will be Fred Burgess, Ossian Cook, W. K. Rideout. Arthur Kellogg, Fred Wright and A. B. Medberry.
