Frank passed away peacefully on Monday July 20th 2015. He was 90 year old. He lived a long happy life filled with family and friends. He was born in Lincoln, Missouri on October 7, 1924 to Ernest and Florence Schaeffer. The family moved to Dos Palos, Ca. in 1935. He was the eldest of eleven children. Frank served in the U S Navy as an aircraft ordinance man from January 1942 to December 1945. He worked as a PCA advisor for Spain-Air in Dos Palos and later became a Real Estate Agent and moved to Fresno, Ca.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Florence Schaeffer, sister Edna Mae Brown, brother Erwin Schaeffer and brother Doug Schaeffer. He is survived by his wife Eva Schaeffer of Fresno, son Rick Schaeffer of Fresno, step daughter Bobbie Miras of Twain Harte, grandson Chris Schaeffer of Selma, great granddaughter’s Alexandra, Elizabeth and Savannah of Selma and great great granddaughter Autumn Schaeffer of Selma, brothers Lawrence of Dos Palos, Ed of Los Banos, Earl of Fresno, Eldon of Dos Palos, Elmer of Fresno and his sisters, Hazel Hamerick of Leesburg, Fl. and Edith Robertson of Tranquility. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and lots of other extended family members and friends. On Monday July 27, 2015 there will be a viewing at the Fierro Family Funeral Home of Dos Palos from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm for family and friends. Interment will be at the Dos Palos Cemetery, Tuesday July 28th, 2015 at 11:00 am. with a graveside service. A reception will immediately follow at the Dale Hale Hall in Dos Palos.
