Charlotte L. Norton, age 80, of Rushville, IL, passed away at 3:30 am on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville, IL. She was born on November 14, 1933 in Browning, a daughter of Luther and Leona (Vaughn) Bollinger. She married Eldon Lee Norton in 1961. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1989.
Surviving are two sisters, Betty Norton of Beardstown, IL and Freida Stambaugh of Macomb, IL, her adopted family of Patty, Mark, and Joe Prather of Rushville, Il, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Robert, Eugene, and Richard Bollinger, and 2 sisters, Mary Lou Bird and Marilyn Bollinger.
She detasseled corn in her younger days and was a homemaker.
She attended the Rushville Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rushville.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Fred Fritz will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Memorials may be made to the Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice, the Snyder's vaughn-Haven Activity Dept., or the donor's choice. Interment will be in the Browning Cemetery
