Philip Floyd Cameron, age 71, of Ithaca, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. Phil was born on August 15, 1941, in Rochester, Michigan, to Loyd and Dorothy (Evens) Cameron.
Phil graduated from Alma High School in 1959 and married Judy Grandy in October, 1961, at Ithaca Baptist Church. He worked at Detroiter Mobile Homes in Alma, RL Grandy Construction and Cameron Builders. Phil helped build or remodel several homes in the area.
Phil is survived by Judy, his wife of 51 years, and their four sons; David and his wife Ranaye of Sherwood, Arkansas, Peter and his wife Sherry of Galt, California, Jonathan and his wife Chris of Lakeside, Ohio and Andrew and his wife Cathy of Ithaca. Phil, also, is survived by his brother Samuel Cameron and wife Marilyn of Houston, Texas, 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, John Cameron and James Cameron. Phil was a member of the Ithaca Baptist Church where he was active in Youth ministries, Awana and the Church bus ministry. He suffered from Huntington's Disease and lived in the Laurel of Fulton Nursing Home for the last several years.
