OTTUMWA — Mary Alice Adcock, 81, of 914 S. Hancock, died at 6 a.m. Jan. 15, 2006 at home.
She was born February 4, 1924 in Wellman to Willis and Mary Phend Reber. She married Donald F. Adcock December 17, 1944 in Ottumwa. He preceded her in death Jan. 24, 1974.
A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she had been a nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are 7 grandchildren, Donald Lennie, Carl Lennie, Dwayne Lennie, Willis Adcock, Waylon Adcock, Christy Hamre and Bobbie Adcock, 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Yoder of Kalona; and a brother, Richard Lester of Rock Island, IL.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Lennie; a son, Frank Adcock, 7 brothers, Robert, Willis, Donnie, Gene and Glen Reber, Edward and Robert Lester; a sister Lillian Belzer.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Grover Branson officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the family.
