Hannah Hansen married Thorvald A. Salvesen on November 29, 1878. Together they had 6 children: Mary Jeanette, William, Lillian Jenevieve, Hanna Wanda, Joseph, and Erma Allean.

Obituary of Sister Hannah Salverson:
Sister Hannah Salversen was the daughter of Hans D. and Mary Nielsen Hanson. She was born July 24, 1858 at Christiana Norway. Immigrated to Utah with her parents, crossing the plains with ox team arriving in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the fall of 1863, and came to Hyrum the following year. she was married to Thorvald Salversen Nov. 27, 1878, in the endowment house at Salt Lake City. Six children, two sons and four daughters came to bless their home, one daughter having preceded her to the grave. Brother and Sister Salversen moved to Blackfoot, Idaho, April 1919, and in May 1920, she returned to Hyrum for the purpose of doing temple work. Her health having been poor for the past four years she was unable to continue her work in the temple. Since then she has been living with her daughter Mrs. Ed Anderson, who has done everything that could be done to relieve her suffering and make her last days pleasant. Sister Salversen passed peacefully away Feb. 13th, the cause of her death being cancer of the stomach. She was a good Latter-day Saint, a member of the Relief Society, was a good wife and mother and was respected by all who knew her. She leaves a husband, two sons Will and Joe, and daughter Mrs. Charles Weeding all of Blackfoot, Idaho, and daughters Mrs. Ed. Anderson and Miss Erma Salverson of Hyrum; also two sisters Mrs Marie Thyberg of this city and Mrs Hyrum Hillyard of Wyoming, and 14 grandchildren to mourn her loss.

Those who came from other places to attend the funeral of Sister Salverson were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Weeding of Blackfoot, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. George Salverson of Downey, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Rawlins of Lewiston, Utah, Mrs. Larsen, Mrs. Kershaw, and Mr. Pearsen of Logan, Utah.
