Frank Asberry Ware, a son of William Ware (1760-1833) and the former Miss Pricilla Gregory (1764-1845), was born¹ around 1809 and 1812 in Virginia. His father was a veteran of the war of independence in the 1st Virginia Regiment, seeing action at the Battle at Cowpens and the Siege of Camden. By the late 1820's Frank's family were living in the Fairfield District of South Carolina.
Frank Ware was married to Miss Eliza Jane Bell, a daughter of Hugh and Martha Watt Bell on April 2nd 1835. This union was blessed with the following known children:
