Funeral services for Willie Nathan Shannon, age 76, former resident of Dodd City, of Hobbs, New Mexico, who passed away Monday at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Hobbs, N.M. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Dodd City Cemetery. Local arrangements under the direction Of Wise Fumeral Home.

Mr. Shannon was born in Dodd City March 24, 1911, the son of Joe and Ella Simmons Shannon.

He was a retired mechanic for the Nichols Chrysler Dealer. He had lived in Hobbs for the past two years.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lillian Shannon of Hobbs, N.M.; son, Don Shannon of Hobbs; daughter, Allene Cannon of Hobbs; brother, Coy Shannon of Honey Grove; sister, Mrs. Marie Roberts of Bonham; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
