Mary Catherine Barb, 76, of Quicksburg, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015.
She was born on June 28, 1938 and was the daughter of the late William Gilbert and Annie (Barb) Halterman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Elwood Barb; a son, Cecil Barb; and two brothers, James Barb and Carson Halterman.
She was a member of Solomons Lutheran Church and worked at Search Thrift Shop in Mt. Jackson for 15 years.
Mary is survived by her son, Frank Barb of Quicksburg; a sister, Shirley Green of Quicksburg; a brother, Mathew Halterman of Toms Brook; two grandsons; numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at Valley Funeral Chapel, Bowman's Crossing.
The service will be conducted by Pastors Glen Early and Glen Turner.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 - 8 pm. Per Mary's request, she was cremated.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Solomons Lutheran Church Cemetery.
